01 / The island

Small enough to slow you down.

Some places ask you to do more. Prišnjak invites you to notice more.

Off the western coast of Murter, this little island is shaped by pale rock, pines and the sea. Come for the lighthouse. Remember the colour of the water, the salt on your skin and the lovely absence of a timetable.

02 / The lighthouse

A light. A home. A horizon.

The light station dates to 1886. Its stone keeper’s house and distinctive lantern remain a familiar landmark for boats approaching Murter.

Today, the former keeper’s home is also offered as holiday accommodation. A stay here begins with a boat crossing and an agreement with the host, rather than a hotel reception.

The luxury of very little.

03 / Island hours
01

At sea level

Take a swim when conditions allow. Bring water shoes for the rocky shore, and let the coast set the pace.

02

Under the pines

A book, drinking water and a little shade. Leave room in your day for nothing in particular.

03

In the evening light

Watch the stone soften as the light changes. If you are visiting for the day, agree your return before setting out.

04 / Four seasons

The same island. Another mood.

The long blue days.

Think early swims, shade at midday and long evenings. Arrange your stay ahead and carry enough drinking water and sun protection.

Boat access and accommodation are weather-dependent throughout the year.

05 / A considered arrival

The journey starts on Murter.

Prišnjak is reached by boat. Keep your plans simple: confirm access, arrange the crossing and leave enough flexibility for the weather.

Accommodation and enquiries are handled by the external provider. Confirm current details directly before booking.

01

Make Murter your starting point

Murter is connected to the mainland via Tisno. Ask your host or boat operator for the exact meeting point and parking arrangements.

02

Agree your crossing

Arrange departure, landing permission and the return with a local operator or your accommodation host. Do not assume a scheduled ferry service.

03

Bring the essentials

Take drinking water, sun protection and shoes for uneven rock. Respect private areas and the working lighthouse, and take your litter back with you.

Useful to know

A few practical answers.

Where is Prišnjak?

Prišnjak is a small Adriatic islet off the western side of Murter, in Croatia’s Dalmatian coast region.

Can I stay in the lighthouse?

The former keeper’s house is advertised as holiday accommodation. Use the stay link to check the current offer, availability and transfer arrangements.

Can I enter the lighthouse tower?

Do not assume tower access. It is a working navigational site; ask the responsible operator about permitted areas before visiting.

Is a day visit possible?

Discuss access and landing with a local operator first. A short distance from shore does not replace safe sea conditions or an agreed return.

A little further from the noise. A little closer to yourself.
